Map the cost from suppliers to the final address
The route can begin at one or several Chinese suppliers and end at an accessible home, project site, warehouse or yard in Europe, the United States or Canada. The cost map may include supplier pickup, consolidation, packing, export handling, international freight, customs coordination and final-mile transport.
Door-to-door does not automatically mean every physical action at the address. The named unloading point, vehicle access and unloading responsibility must still be defined.
Confirm each inclusion in writing
A useful quote identifies the cargo, supplier locations, named destination, packing scope, route and customs or tax responsibility. Buildcargo Logistics uses shipment-specific written confirmation rather than assuming the same treatment for every country or product.
DDP is an Incoterms rule for the buyer-seller contract, not a synonym for any door-to-door freight quote. Under DDP to a named place, the seller is responsible for bringing the goods to that destination, completing import clearance and paying applicable import duties and taxes; the goods are ready for unloading, but unloading itself is not automatically included.

Documents and invoice expectations
Tell Buildcargo Logistics before booking if you need to import in your own name, obtain import VAT documentation or use a specific customs structure. Those requirements can change whether the proposed arrangement is suitable.
A local transport-service invoice may be available through the destination transport provider for some shipments, with the applicable VAT borne by the buyer. It is not the same as an import customs or import VAT document.

- Who unloads the cargo from the final-mile vehicle?

Frequently asked questions
Is door-to-door always DDP?
No. Door-to-door describes the physical route. Duties and taxes are included only when the written quote confirms the customs and tax arrangement.
Does DDP include unloading?
Not automatically. Buildcargo Logistics's standard handover is at the customer-designated accessible unloading point. Unloading and inside delivery require separate confirmation.
Can the customer be the importer of record?
Do not assume this under a Buildcargo Logistics duty-paid arrangement. If importing in your own name or obtaining import VAT documents matters, state that requirement before booking.
Can I receive one all-in price?
For eligible shipments, Buildcargo Logistics can prepare a written door-to-door logistics quote to a named accessible delivery point after the cargo, origin, named destination, packing and delivery conditions are reviewed.
Is FOB a cost to the destination port?
No. Under FOB, delivery and risk transfer when the goods are loaded on board the buyer-nominated vessel at the named port of shipment; the buyer arranges the main carriage. CIF includes cost, insurance and freight to the named destination port, but it is not door delivery and risk still transfers on board at origin.
