Building materials and furniture may need edge protection, a wooden frame, a crate or a pallet. Those additions change the volume and sometimes the chargeable measurement. Ask the supplier or warehouse for the final packed length, width, height and gross weight.

Sea W/M uses the greater of cubic metres or metric tonnes as a reference. Air and courier divisors vary. A route can also have minimums, oversize rules and handling charges.
