You do not need all of this before contacting us. We collect these facts progressively because they change transport cost and feasibility. Suppliers can provide many of them, and final packed dimensions can be confirmed after warehouse receiving.

Use packed measurements
Freight and handling use the packed cargo, not the product without protection. Wooden frames, pallets and internal protection add size and weight. If final packing is not ready, clearly mark the measurements as provisional.
For long or irregular items, provide photos from several angles and identify which side must remain upright. If the supplier gives only cubic metres, ask for the piece-level dimensions as well.
Buildcargo records the final packed length, width, height and gross weight per piece before the route and written price are confirmed. An early estimate remains provisional until those shipment facts and the packing scope are verified.
Describe the destination as an operating site
A postcode is the start, not the full final-mile plan. State whether the address is a residence, commercial site, warehouse, factory or yard. Explain road width, gate restrictions, loading dock, parking, appointment rules and whether a forklift or crane is available.
This lets the forwarder quote the correct final-mile vehicle and clarify who removes the cargo from it.
How to compare two quotes
Compare the same named destination, cargo data and service scope. Check whether pickup, packing, export handling, customs, duties or taxes, final delivery, appointment, unloading and insurance are included or excluded.
A lower number may simply cover fewer steps. Ask both providers to write the scope and validity period rather than comparing screenshots of headline prices.
