Written service scope for Europe

What does a Europe furniture-shipping plan include?

If you have already bought furniture or building materials in China, this page explains how Buildcargo checks supplier deliveries, prepares export packing, combines orders and coordinates shipment to the agreed point in Europe. The written quote defines customs, unloading and buyer responsibilities.

Do not rely on a headline alone. The written quote and contract must confirm the cargo, route, named delivery point, included charges and service boundary before payment.

02

Service scope

Buildcargo Logistics coordinates orders that buyers have already placed with one or several China suppliers. Depending on the written quote, this can include supplier pickup, warehouse receipt and checking, export packing, consolidation, international freight, EU customs and duty/tax handling, and transport to the agreed unloading point in Europe.

Furniture and building materials define this household service. Machinery, equipment, long items and other lawful ordinary bulky cargo are assessed only as a separate secondary cargo service and do not define this page's main route.

The supplier can prepare the packing, or Buildcargo can arrange separately quoted packing when needed: fumigation-free wooden frames, custom crates, moisture barriers, edge protection and reinforcement suited to the cargo and route. We can help the supplier prepare an English packing list. At receipt, we record package details, final packed dimensions and weight. If receiving reveals missing, wrong or visibly damaged goods, we share photos, communicate with the supplier and coordinate the storage or transport response. Basic receiving is not a full product-quality inspection.

If renovation is still in progress, we can coordinate storage in China around the planned shipping date. At the Shenzhen warehouse, days 1–14 from the first batch’s arrival are free; from day 15, storage is RMB 100 per shipment per calendar day. Any longer arrangement is confirmed in writing. Read the China storage and inspection rules.

03

Cargo eligibility and limits

Minimum shipment30 kg total per shipment.
Maximum shipmentBelow 20 metric tonnes total per shipment.
Primary cargoFurniture and building materials that are lawful in the destination country and accepted after review.
Container fitEvery packed piece must pass through and travel inside the actual confirmed 40HQ container.

Final acceptance depends on product name, material, value, use, packed dimensions, weight, photos, documents, route, delivery address and unloading conditions. Bare product dimensions are not sufficient where extra packing will be added.

This service is limited to declared ordinary bulky cargo. Dangerous goods, batteries, chemicals, food, specially regulated goods, counterfeit goods and unlawful cargo are not accepted under this Europe service.

04

What the DDP shipping arrangement means

For this service, a confirmed duty-paid quote can cover the transport and handling charges required to move the accepted shipment from the named China pickup point to the customer-designated unloading point in the European Union. The precise included charges are those listed in the written quote.

Normally included when quoted

  • China factory or supplier pickup
  • China export handling
  • International freight
  • EU customs, duties and tax handling within the agreed service
  • Road transport to the customer-designated unloading point
  • Optional paid packing when separately selected

Not automatically included

  • Unloading or lifting
  • Indoor or upstairs delivery
  • Assembly or installation
  • Cargo insurance
  • Failed delivery, waiting, storage or second delivery
  • Import or VAT documents in the buyer's own name

05

Delivery point and unloading

The standard final handover is at the customer-designated unloading point. This may be an accessible factory, warehouse, yard or residence, provided the delivery vehicle can safely and legally enter or reach the agreed position.

We review maps or street views of the address and coordinate a carrier assessment and quote for a suitable vehicle. We can also help contact local forklift or unloading-labor providers. Their availability, charges and work are confirmed separately; this is not an included white-glove service.

Unloading, lifting, carrying goods inside, moving goods upstairs, unpacking, assembly and installation are not included unless separately confirmed in writing. Before dispatch, confirm who will supply the people or equipment needed at the agreed point. If access is not possible or unloading is not ready, waiting, return, storage and second-delivery costs may arise.

06

Transit estimates

OceanAbout 45-55 days.
TruckAbout 27-32 days.
RailQuoted after cargo and destination review.
AirAbout 7 days.

The estimate starts when the shipment has entered the Buildcargo Logistics warehouse and the required shipment information and documents are ready. Ready cargo can use daily dispatch from our China warehouse to the port without waiting for us to fill our own consolidated container. This is a warehouse-to-port dispatch arrangement, not daily vessel departures. These are planning estimates, not guaranteed delivery dates. Customs, inspections, weather, capacity, destination restrictions and failed delivery can change the actual timing.

07

Cargo insurance

Cargo insurance is not included. Buildcargo can introduce an independent cargo-insurance option for the buyer to review and purchase. The policy must be checked against the actual product, route, declared value, coverage period, exclusions and deductible; do not assume glass or stone breakage is automatically covered. Arrange any required cover before the relevant transport or handling begins.

Cargo insurance and contractual carrier liability are different protections. A transport contract does not replace an all-risk or other suitable cargo policy.

08

Customs documents and local invoices

Eligible private home orders can use Buildcargo's own European VAT-company arrangement. The buyer does not need their own VAT number, to issue a customs invoice themselves, or to arrange customs declaration and clearance. The factory supplies product documents and Buildcargo coordinates the process. Normal delivery contact details are enough to start that coordination. This service does not provide import or VAT documents issued in the household buyer's own name.

Where a local European transport invoice can be provided, availability, issuer, description, amount and any applicable tax are confirmed privately for the shipment. These operating details are not promised through general website wording.

09

Information the buyer must provide

  • Accurate product name, material, intended use, quantity and value.
  • Final packed dimensions and weight for every piece, plus the total shipment weight.
  • Clear cargo and packing photos.
  • Correct supplier pickup details and destination contact information.
  • A complete delivery address, postcode, designated unloading point, access restrictions and unloading plan.
  • Supplier product and shipment documents, which Buildcargo helps collect and coordinate; the buyer does not need to issue a customs invoice or arrange clearance themselves.

Changes, missing information or inaccurate declarations can change the price, route, timeline or acceptance decision.

10

Payment, changes, cancellation and claims

We start with a preliminary quote based on the information available. After receiving the goods and checking final packed dimensions and weight, we issue a formal written quote, confirm the scope with you and arrange shipment. For ocean shipments, sea freight is paid when the goods are loaded onto the vessel; air and truck payment milestones are confirmed separately. Payment is by bank transfer in RMB or USD. After the transfer arrives, Buildcargo confirms receipt of the funds and provides a payment receipt. The quote and contract confirm the applicable charges and payment details before you transfer funds.

Packing and other separately agreed charges, cancellation, refunds, storage, failed delivery, redelivery, damage notification and claim procedures follow the written quote and contract. A transport quote, bill or payment receipt is not an import VAT document in the buyer's own name.

If visible loss or damage is found at handover, note it on the delivery record where possible and contact Buildcargo Logistics promptly with photos, packaging evidence and shipment details. The applicable process and liability limits follow the signed contract and mandatory law.

If the factory agrees to replace missing or faulty hardware, Buildcargo can receive the replacement and arrange air delivery to your European home. The typical planning reference is 4–6 days from our receipt of the replacement hardware to delivery at your home, subject to the destination and transport conditions. This is separately quoted transport coordination, not a free warranty or repair service.

Contact information and messaging

Information supplied by WhatsApp or email is used to assess the shipment, prepare a quote and coordinate service. Do not send payment card details or unnecessary identity documents through the website enquiry form.

WhatsApp and email are third-party services and their own privacy terms apply. Website server and security providers may retain technical access logs required to deliver and protect the site.

For a shipment review, contact WhatsApp +86 159 6815 6619 or huayunhaofang@gmail.com. During China working hours, we usually give an initial reply within 15 minutes. That is an initial response, not a completed formal quote.
