Before a supplier delivers.
Each supplier needs a reference, product group, expected ready date, package count and delivery or pickup instruction. This prevents orders from different factories being treated as one unidentified pile. You may use suppliers you selected; Buildcargo does not require purchases from a preferred network. Three inspection levels
Know what is checked—and what is not.
Receiving, opening a selected package and inspecting a product are three different scopes. The written project record should identify which level applies.
Default rule: Buildcargo does not open every factory-packed product. If you need model, colour, finish, hardware, dimensions, material documents or functional checks compared with a reference, agree the product-specific scope before suppliers deliver.
What happens when receiving finds a difference.
If a package is missing, incorrect or visibly damaged, the review follows three evidence points: destination-delivery records where applicable, Shenzhen warehouse video/count/weight, and the supplier’s dispatch record. The next action—hold, replace, inspect, repack or continue—is confirmed with the customer.
The receiving check and packing are separate steps. After the check, suitable factory packing can be retained and resealed; packing that does not meet the agreed export plan can be reinforced or replaced under the written packing scope.
What product-specific inspection can compare.
Paid inspection is customized against the order, drawing, approved sample or another written standard. It may cover furniture model, quantity, dimensions, colour, visible finish, hardware and accessories; leather type or grain against supplier documents or a confirmed sample; declared wood information, visible grain direction, joints, knots and cracks; cabinet, door or window dimensions, opening direction, hardware, glass, seals and accessories; stone or tile batch, colour, size, chips and visible flatness; and lighting or bathroom model, finish and accessories. Electrical or functional sampling must be agreed separately.
These checks compare visible facts with a written reference. They do not replace a laboratory, certification body, structural-safety test or material-authenticity determination.
Fourteen days of free storage.
The storage clock begins on the calendar day the first batch for the shipment reaches the Shenzhen warehouse. Days 1–14 are free. From day 15, storage is RMB 100 per shipment per calendar day. Longer storage can be arranged in writing. The confirmed period, cargo footprint and any special handling still belong in the shipment record.
Evidence that connects receiving to the next decision.
The agreed evidence can include receiving records, outer-condition photos, dimensions and weight, packing decisions, loading images, container or vehicle reference, seal record and the next milestone. Evidence availability depends on the mode and written service scope.

- Supplier names or references and contact details.
- Expected ready dates and package counts.
- Product list, photos and any inspection standard.
- Which packages may be opened and resealed.
- Final destination and target shipping window.
Missing storage, QC and evidence details will be listed as items requiring written confirmation rather than assumed.
