A supplier quote is often called a proforma invoice, or PI, but you do not need to know that term to start.
What can be checked early?
Large dimensions, heavy single pieces, glass, stone, long components, weak factory packing, different supplier ready dates, duties, restricted materials and difficult home access can all change the plan. An early review helps you ask the supplier better questions before paying.
What remains open until later?
The final price normally waits for final packed dimensions and weights, confirmed product details, route availability and written customs and delivery scope. A planning range should not be presented as a guaranteed final cost.
