Buildcargo is a China-based freight forwarder specializing in post-purchase logistics for overseas home projects. We review furniture and building-material orders from one or several suppliers, including eligible one-time orders for private homeowners. A whole-house order or full container is not required. What happens after your first message?
What you send, what we check and what you receive.
Send the cargo and destination
Share photos or product links, the supplier city and your Poland postcode. We check whether we can handle the shipment and give an estimate based on the available information.
Receive and check the packages
We identify arrivals, count packages, record visible outer condition, dimensions and weight, and review the packing. Standard receiving does not mean opening every package or inspecting every product. Detailed counting and product checks are agreed separately.
Confirm the price, then prepare dispatch
Once all planned goods have arrived and been brought together, we check measurements and packing and confirm the final price and scope in writing before dispatch. Sea-freight payment follows container loading: these are separate steps.
Prepare the home handover
We confirm vehicle access, the agreed outdoor point and who will unload. You know which people or equipment must be ready before the truck arrives.

From China through our European network
Buildcargo operates a warehouse near Düsseldorf and coordinates onward delivery to Poland. The gateway, transport method and timetable are confirmed for the actual cargo and address; not every shipment uses the same port or delivery date.
German warehouse photographs show the operating site. The completed Spain doors-and-windows project provides separate delivery evidence. Neither is presented as a completed Poland delivery.
Documents and import arrangements
We coordinate product information and English packing lists with suppliers. The written plan confirms the import arrangement and included duties and taxes for the actual cargo. Product requirements are reviewed, not assumed from a generic furniture tax rate. See the European service terms and Polish Customs.
Before the delivery vehicle arrives
- Vehicle access: Tell us about narrow roads, gates and parking restrictions. We review maps and street views, then confirm access with the local carrier. Any smaller-vehicle arrangement and extra cost are agreed in writing.
- Who unloads: Confirm the receiving person and needed workers or equipment. We can help contact local forklift or unloading providers; availability, work and charges are agreed separately.
- Handover point: Standard delivery ends at the agreed vehicle-accessible outdoor point. Unloading, carrying inside, stairs, unpacking, assembly and installation are not automatically included. Insurance is a separate option.
Questions before you book
Do I need a VAT number or customs paperwork?
For our eligible EU duty-paid service, private buyers do not need their own VAT number or to prepare customs invoices and declarations themselves. Buildcargo coordinates through its European VAT-company arrangement; suppliers provide actual product and transaction documents. Your name, email and home address start the delivery arrangement. Import or VAT documents in the buyer's own name are not included.
When is the final price confirmed, and when do I pay?
The early estimate is not the final quote. After all planned goods arrive and measurements and packing are checked, we confirm the final price, scope and full transport contract in writing before dispatch. Quotes are normally valid for three days; the actual document controls. With cargo, packing, route, address and scope unchanged, ordinary freight-rate movements do not change the confirmed freight. Cargo changes, added services and contract-defined exceptions need separate written confirmation.
For sea shipments, freight is paid after container loading. We accept RMB or USD bank transfers, including foreign-currency receipts through our Hong Kong account. We confirm funds received and issue a receipt. Air and truck payment terms are confirmed separately.
Does a smaller shipment wait for a full container?
Ready, eligible orders can join our existing consolidation arrangements. We have daily container-loading and dispatch arrangements, rather than building a new full load around your order. Packing, documents and the booked departure still need confirmation. This does not mean daily sailings or same-day departure for every shipment.
What if my home is not ready?
Tell us the renovation timetable before dispatch so we can plan China storage and the shipping date together. China and Germany have different free-storage periods and subsequent charges; storage is not indefinitely free.
Can I write in Polish?
Yes. You can send Polish text by WhatsApp or email; we use translation to handle written enquiries. We do not promise Polish-language telephone support. Links marked EN on the Polish page open English records or guidance.
