Buildcargo is a China-based freight forwarder for post-purchase home-project logistics. You choose and buy; we organize the transport.
Furniture, cabinets, doors, glass, flooring, lighting and other eligible ordinary building materials can come from one or several suppliers. See the cargo acceptance limits.

From your first photo to your payment receipt
- Start with a photo or order and your Dutch postcode. We review the cargo and estimate the price. With the necessary details during normal China working hours, shared-container prices usually take about 30 minutes; full-container prices about four hours.
- Confirm how the goods reach our China warehouse. Before suppliers send anything, agree supplier delivery or arranged collection, the receiving services and their basic charges.
- Approve the measured quote and transport contract. You receive package-level arrival records, visible outer-condition notes and measurements; detailed item-by-item checking is separately agreed. We confirm packing work and its charges, then the formal quote and contract covering freight, import and tax scope, home handover and any separately requested unloading before shipment.
- Pay the freight bill after container loading. Confirm the payee company and receiving account before you transfer. Once funds arrive, we confirm payment and provide a receipt.

Can a private buyer use the duty-paid plan?
Yes, for eligible private-home shipments. You do not need your own VAT number or to prepare customs invoices. Suppliers provide the product information; Buildcargo coordinates export and import. Your name, email and home address start the receiving arrangements.
Before booking, the written plan confirms the goods, import responsibility and included freight, clearance, applicable duties and VAT, and vehicle-accessible outdoor handover.

From China to your home in the Netherlands
The current route is China → Rotterdam or Antwerp entry and clearance → Düsseldorf-area warehouse in Germany → your Netherlands address. The shipment-specific gateway is confirmed in writing.
The Germany warehouse connects the consolidated shipment to the local delivery vehicle and home appointment. See the European operating network.
- Before dispatch: send the postcode, access photos and any restrictions on parking, gates or the approach road. We check maps, street views and the local carrier's assessment.
- Before handover: agree where the truck can stop and who will unload each crate or pallet. If a smaller vehicle, tail lift, forklift or local workers are needed, confirm availability and the extra cost in the quote.
- Inside the home: carrying in, stairs, assembly and installation are separate arrangements.
Allow about 45–55 days from receipt at our China warehouse with the shipment information complete to handover at your home. This is a planning range, not a guaranteed delivery date. The approximately 10,000 m² Düsseldorf-area warehouse operated by Buildcargo is the Germany handoff in this Netherlands route. Public photos show crated cargo, loading bays and on-site handling. The European delivery footage dated 11 September 2023 is a separate historical operating record.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need a Dutch company or my own VAT number?
No buyer-owned VAT number is required for an eligible private-home shipment under our coordinated European plan. Suppliers provide the cargo information and Buildcargo coordinates the documents and customs arrangements. Product eligibility, import responsibility and the included duties and VAT are confirmed in writing.
If the shipment arrives in Rotterdam, does it come straight to my house?
Not under our current Netherlands arrangement. The shipment goes through the Düsseldorf-area warehouse in Germany before onward delivery to the Netherlands. The quote confirms the entry gateway, warehouse connection and final address handover.
Will my smaller order wait for you to fill a container?
We have daily container-loading and dispatch arrangements. Ready small orders can join existing consolidation rather than wait for us to build a new full-container load. Packing readiness, booking and the actual departure still need confirmation; this does not mean daily sailings or same-day departure for every order.
What if my home is not ready for the delivery?
Plan storage in China before dispatch where possible: the first 14 days from the first arrival are free, then RMB 100 per shipment per day. Germany storage is available with the first seven days free, then RMB 700 per shipment per seven days. Confirm partial-period charging and the planned release date in writing before storage is arranged.
When do I pay, and who receives the payment?
Ocean freight is paid against the freight bill after container loading. Confirm the payee company and receiving account in the contract and bill before transferring. RMB and USD bank transfers and foreign-currency transfers to our Hong Kong account are supported. We confirm arrival of funds and provide a receipt.
Who unloads the goods at my home?
Agree the outdoor handover point and who provides the unloading equipment and people before delivery. We can help contact local forklift and labour providers; their availability and charges are confirmed separately. Carrying inside, stairs, assembly and installation are separate arrangements.
How long until my shipment reaches home?
