01 · Check the order
Send the order you already have.
A photo, product link or order screenshot plus the destination country is enough to start. We first check whether the goods fit the service. Your seller's location, ready date, packed sizes and delivery postcode can follow.
You choose and pay your seller. Buildcargo is a China-based freight forwarder specializing in post-purchase logistics for overseas home projects—not a buying agent or an Alibaba or 1688 partner.
Ordinary furniture and building materials are reviewed under the published acceptance rules. This is not a general small-parcel or prohibited-goods forwarding service.
02 · Arrange China delivery
Give your seller the agreed receiving instructions.
After we confirm the receiving arrangement, you receive the China warehouse address, receiving contact and reference to pass to your seller. We agree whether the supplier will deliver or whether collection is needed, and confirm any collection charge.
Ask your seller for these four things
- The goods-ready date and dispatch city.
- A product list and expected number of packages.
- Photos of the packing, with packed sizes and gross weight if available.
- The delivery or collection details, using the receiving reference we agree.
If your 1688 supplier only handles domestic sales or has no English packing list, we can coordinate the goods information and English packing list with the supplier. Missing packed measurements can be recorded at receiving; you do not need a perfect export file before the first conversation.
For several sellers, each delivery must remain identifiable. See how we connect supplier references and separate arrivals to one shipment.
03 · Receive and measure
You can see what arrived—and what the quote is based on.
We record the arriving packages, labels, visible outer condition, packed dimensions and gross weight. If something is visibly wrong, we record it and help coordinate the next action with the supplier.

Checking boxes is not the same as checking every product inside. Detailed item counting, opening sealed packages or product-level QC must be requested and agreed separately. See exactly what basic receiving includes.
04 · Confirm the shipping plan
Factory packing, final size, written price.
Furniture surfaces, glass, stone and long door or cabinet components need different protection. We review the packing for the proposed route: keep suitable packing, add protection or arrange new packing when needed and agreed. Any packing work is reflected in the final dimensions and quote.
Once all goods planned for this shipment have arrived and been brought together, we review measurements and packing and confirm the final price and service scope with you in writing before dispatch. The first estimate is not the final price.

Your written plan names the route, included China operations, import responsibilities, applicable duties and taxes, residential delivery point and separately charged work. Check the Europe, United States or Canada route—not just the words “door-to-door”.
For ocean shipments, freight payment follows container loading under the agreed bill. See the real quotation, loading and payment sequence.
05 · Ship and prepare to receive
Agree what happens at your address.
We coordinate the confirmed transport and customs arrangement and share agreed milestone updates. Before delivery, the address, vehicle access, appointment and unloading plan need to be clear.
Delivery to a vehicle-accessible outdoor handover point, unloading to the ground and carrying indoors are different services. Unloading equipment, workers, carrying upstairs and installation are included only when separately confirmed in writing. Check what to prepare before the vehicle arrives.
For a mixed-order example, the completed Canadian home delivery documents 30+ suppliers and 607 individual listed items. The completed Spain doors-and-windows project documents material handling and residential handover. These records show the logistics work; they do not establish which shopping platform was used.
Questions before your seller dispatches
Can you ship one order, or do I need a whole house of goods?
One eligible furniture or building-material order can be reviewed. You do not need several suppliers, a whole-house purchase or a full container. The published service starts at 30 kg total shipment weight; the actual goods, packed sizes, handling and destination still need acceptance review.
My 1688 seller does not export. Can you still help?
Yes, eligible orders can be reviewed even if the seller only delivers within China. Buildcargo can agree China warehouse delivery or collection and coordinate the English packing list and goods information with the supplier. The goods must still meet the actual export and destination requirements.
Do I need my own VAT number for a European home order?
For an eligible European private-home plan, you do not need your own VAT number or to prepare customs invoices yourself. Buildcargo coordinates the goods information with the supplier and the agreed import arrangement. Provide your receiving contact details and address; the written plan confirms the actual customs, duties, taxes and delivery scope.
Will a small order wait until you find enough cargo to fill a container?
Ready cargo can enter Buildcargo's existing shared-container arrangements without waiting for the team to build a separate full load around your order. Loading and dispatch are arranged daily, but the actual sailing and cargo-ready cutoff are confirmed separately. This does not mean every shipment leaves the warehouse the day it arrives or that ships depart daily.
